About

Michelle Bridgeman, PT, DPT

Michelle Bridgeman is a pelvic health physical therapist who is passionate about providing holistic, compassionate rehabilitation to help individuals return to the activities they love most. As a former competitive long-distance runner and swimmer, Michelle brings a deep appreciation for movement, sport, and the importance of supporting each person’s goals in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.

Michelle is especially passionate about working with antepartum and postpartum individuals, with a special interest in postpartum return to sport and running. She also enjoys treating pelvic pain using a trauma-informed care approach, and strongly believes that all individuals deserve to feel supported, understood, and empowered as they work toward returning to the activities that matter most to them.

Michelle’s residency education in Women’s and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy at Duke University, along with her research in trauma-informed care, has shaped her compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. She values each patient’s story and the journey that brought them to therapy. Her goal is to provide tools that help patients resolve or better manage their symptoms independently, while improving confidence, function, and overall well-being.

Michelle has advanced experience treating the pelvic floor, thoracic and lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint, hips, and postpartum return to sport and running. She hopes patients leave their sessions feeling listened to, truly understood, empowered to overcome challenges and barriers, and supported in both their physical and emotional recovery.

Outside the clinic, Michelle enjoys running, skiing, hiking with her husband, trying new restaurants, crocheting, and spending time with her two lovable corgis.
