About

Brittany Burns, OTD, OTR/L

Brittany Burns is a pelvic health occupational therapist who was drawn to the field after seeing, across several care settings, how often people’s pelvic health symptoms were dismissed or pushed aside. Recognizing how those symptoms affect people physically, emotionally, and socially, she chose work that addresses them at their root.

Brittany’s pelvic health care focuses on incontinence, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and pelvic organ prolapse. Whether a patient is navigating bladder leakage, adjusting to changes during pregnancy, or returning to movement after birth, she wants to help them feel more comfortable and confident in their body. She also has special interests in chronic pelvic pain, returning to sport, and staying active with age.

Brittany believes good care starts with getting to know each person. A patient’s goals, experiences, identity, and daily life all shape how she approaches treatment. She builds on each person’s strengths and works alongside them to create a plan that feels meaningful and manageable. Her background in anthropology, integrative biology, and psychology informs her curiosity about the connections between movement, emotional well-being, culture, and health.

Having grown up in competitive gymnastics, water polo, volleyball, and dance, Brittany understands how closely movement connects to a person’s sense of self. She knows how frustrating it can be when symptoms get in the way of the activities people love, whether that means playing a sport, lifting weights, or keeping up with everyday life. She hopes patients leave each visit with a better understanding of their bodies and practical tools they feel comfortable using, and she especially values the “aha” moments when something clicks.

Originally from Southern California, Brittany spent six years in Salt Lake City before moving to Oregon in 2023. Outside the clinic, she enjoys painting, chalk art festivals, pottery, live music, and time outdoors. She stays grounded through yoga and weightlifting, rarely misses a Trail Blazers game, and loves exploring restaurants and trying new recipes with her husband.
