About

Annie Snyder, PT, DPT

Dr. Annie Snyder, formerly known as Dr. Annie Volk, is a distinguished physical therapist who has dedicated her practice to the specialized field of pelvic health. Originating from Hudson, Wisconsin, Annie completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Eager to deepen her expertise, she relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University.

Before joining our team, Dr. Snyder began her career in outpatient orthopedic settings. While she gained invaluable experience across multiple physical therapy domains, her passion has always been geared towards pelvic floor diagnoses. To formalize this focus, she is actively pursuing her certification in pelvic floor therapy through the Herman & Wallace Institute.

Annie’s practice philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach to patient care, prioritizing not just physical well-being but also the mental and emotional aspects of healing. She employs a wide range of specialized techniques such as myofascial release, visceral mobilizations, and joint mobilizations, supplemented by therapeutic exercise. Dr. Snyder is highly skilled in treating prenatal and postpartum conditions, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and post-prostatectomy incontinence. She is committed to creating a nurturing environment to assist those healing from trauma and provides care to patients of all gender identities.

When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Snyder loves exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest while camping, paddle boarding, and hiking. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and checking out local wineries and breweries. Most importantly, she cherishes quality time with her husband and loved ones.
